O-SPOOKY RECIPES: Meatball Mummies
Ingredients
FOR THE MEATBALLS
- 500 g Farm Haven Angus Ground beef
- 3 tbsp Topchef BBQ Seasoning

1 tablespoon Goya Extra Virgin Olive Oil (plus additional for cooking)
FOR THE MUMMIES
- 200g Pizza Crust Dough
- 1 tablespoon Maven Butter, melted
- La Costena Dip Salsa - Mild
- Small circles of white cheese
- Black Sesame Seeds
Procedure
FOR THE MEATBALLS
- Mix the meatball ingredients together in a bowl. Shape the mixture into your desired size of balls.
- Saute the meatballs in olive oil until firm.
- Set aside and allow to cool before proceeding to the next step.
FOR THE MUMMIES
- Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- Cut the pizza dough into thin strips. Wrap the dough strips around each meatball stretching and criss-crossing until the meatballs are covered, but leaving a small open space for the eyes. Place the meatball mummies on the prepared pan.
- Bake 19-23 minutes, or until browned. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.
- Add cheese circles as edible eyes. Add smaller dark circles onto the cheese as pupils or cut a smaller circle out of the cheese with a straw to make the pupils.
- Serve with dipping sauce.
