Beer Braised Hickory Steak with Chipotle Cheese
Ingredients
- 300 g Black Tyde Angus Beef Striploin
- 150 g TopChef Hickory Barbecue Sauce
- 1 g Salt
- 1 g Pepper
- 30 g Primeo Olive Oil Pomace
- 50 g White Onion
- 5 g Garlic
- 30 g Takam All Around Liquid Seasoning
- 1 g Bay leaf
- 1 g Thyme
- 500 g Water
- 100 g Beer Pale
- CHIPOTLE MASHED POTATO
- 100 g TopChef Instant Mashed Potato Mix
- 30 g TopChef White Cheddar Seasoning
- 25 g Chipotle
- 400 g Hot Water, freshly boiled
Procedure
1. Season the striploin steak with salt and pepper.
2. Heat a pot on a stove over medium-high heat, add the olive oil, and sear the steak for 1 minute on each side.
3. Add garlic and white onion and saute for 1 minute.
4. Add beer and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour water, TopChef Hickory Barbecue Sauce, Takam All Around Liquid Seasoning, bay leaves, and thyme. Simmer for 30-45 minutes until the beef is fork tender.
5. In a separate bowl, combine TopChef Instant Mashed Potato Mix, freshly boiled water, chipotle, and TopChef White Cheddar Seasoning.
6. Assemble Chipotle Cheese Mashed Potato, top with Beer Braised Hickory steak, and serve.
